Our family farm is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains featuring Appalachian Grown fresh vegetables year round! Summer crops are started in our greenhouses in late Winter/early Spring, then transplanted into the fields in warm weather. The plants get a healthy start in the greenhouse which helps increase the Spring and Summer harvest. We use only natural organic fertilizer, (chicken litter), and we irrigate naturally from our two nearby ponds. We offer tomatoes, peppers, cauliflower, squash, and the best watermelons you've ever tasted!! When the Summer harvest is over we begin growing vegetables indoors in an Aquaponic facilitly. Aquaponics uses a fish barn consisting of Tilapia and the fish waste is filtered and used as fertilizer for the plants. The plants grow in hydroponic media beds with oxygen from the plants carried in a filter system back to the fish. This fully integrated filter system allows vegetables to be grown organically year round. Please call or stop by for a visit anytime! You can also find us at the Downtown Hickory Farmer's Market and Lenoir Downtown Farmer's Market.
