About Fiddler's Green Farm
Fiddler's Green Farm is run by Ryan Clark & Julie Douglas, one seasonal employee, and friends. We humbly occupy 29 acres of East Cherokee (ᏣᎳᎫᏪᏘᏱ Tsalaguwetiyi) land. We cultivate about 5 acres of land for organically grown produce, culinary and medicinal herbs, and pasture-raised chicken. Soil health is very important to us, so we use sustainable and regenerative practices to ensure nutrients are put back into the soil. We offer CSA shares for produce, chicken, and seasonal wellness items, host plant ID walks, grow for wholesalers and restaurants, and will be doing one market in the 2024 season. CSA
Vegetable share: The 2021 CSA season will start in mid-May and go through the end of July. There is a break for the month of August, then we pick back up in September through mid-October (totaling 20 weeks). Members can expect 6-10 different items every week depending on the season. We include 5-8 pounds of produce in the box. We do not do half shares so if you are concerned a share is too much for you, we encourage you to split a share with a neighbor. Poultry share: The poultry share goes from May to September (totaling 20 weeks). Once per week members will get 1 whole, fresh chicken at about 4 pounds each. There is a break for the month of August, then pick back up in September through mid-October. Most weeks, the chicken will be available fresh, but members may get fresh frozen chicken because of processing dates.
