About 8:28 Farms
We're first-generation farmers learning and applying regenerative practices for raising heritage pigs in the wooded acreage of our property, our laying hens & sheep on pasture, growing seasonal produce, and caring for our bees in our apiary. We raise Pure Mangalitsa, and Pure Berkshire pigs, and offer cuts, or the option of halves and whole pigs for purchase. Our pigs are rotated through hardwood forests and supplemented with Soy Free Non-GMO feed. We offer Chicken Eggs year-round, and Goose Eggs seasonally. Our hens are rotated out on our pasture, free range daily, and are supplemented with Soy Free Non-GMO feed as well. Spring of 2025 we started raising Sheep, and we now offer Pasture Raised Lamb on a limited basis. We sell Raw Local Honey from our hives and are Certified NC Beekeepers. We also offer Freeze Dried Fruit, that is either grown by us, or locally by other orchards and farms. You can find us, or our products at The Conover Farmer's Market, The High Country Food Hub, and at our farm.
