About Goldfinch Cocktails and Kitchen

Nestled at 122 Cherry St. in the heart of Black Mountain, NC, Goldfinch Cocktails & Kitchen is a farm-to-table haven where vibrant, local ingredients bloom into creative plates and craft cocktails. After Hurricane Helene tested our roots, we’re humbly reopening—soft opening May 14, 2025, and fully blooming May 21—thanks to the resilient Western North Carolina community that helped us feed thousands in the storm’s aftermath. We’re forever grateful for the love and support that carried us forward. Goldfinch celebrates the region’s bounty with a menu that shifts with the seasons, showcasing heirloom vegetables, pasture-raised meats, and foraged treasures. Standout dishes include Regional Local Mussels simmered in Pinot Grigio reduction with tarragon butter and fried shallots, and the vegan locally grown Lions Mane Mushroom Crab Dip, served with butter crackers and local greens. Savor the Sunburst Smoked Trout Dip with stone ground aioli, or the Local Greens Salad bursting with roasted beets, dried cherries, Marcona almonds, and champagne vinaigrette. Our House-Made Hummus with caper berries and grilled tomatoes, and crispy house made Falafel bursting with local herbs with vegan saffron yogurt, highlight our plant-based excellence. With vegan, gluten-free, and allergy-friendly options, we ensure every guest feels at home. Infused with a silly-sweet charm and poetic gratitude, Goldfinch is more than a meal—it’s a celebration of connection, resilience, and WNC’s finest flavors. Sip a local craft beer or herbal-infused mocktail in our rustic, welcoming space, and join us to honor the land and community we cherish. *Open for lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch, reservations recommended.
